Sebring Airport Hangar

Sebring, Florida

  • Industrial Construction.
  • New Construction.

Summary

Marmer was hired by the Sebring Airport Authority to complete the rebuild of a hangar that was destroyed in 2017 as result of Hurricane Irma. We constructed this new 19,680 sqft. airplane hangar with 5 bays and tenant office space in seven months.

Challenge

As this building has a large steel frame, there were long lead times working with the manufacturer and supply houses. While adhering to submittal and approval process standards, this proved challenging to make sure correct product would arrive to the job site on time while remaining on schedule.

Solution

Our project management and field supervision teams worked diligently and cohesively to stay in contact with manufacturers, supply houses, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication was present throughout the duration of the project. This approach allowed us to coordinate scheduling more efficiently to complete the project on time.
