Estimator
Job Description
- Review and analyze all construction documents to in order to become familiar with job requirements to develop an approach to efficiently and effectively build a quality and accurate bid for each project.
- Compile bid tabulations, analysis and notes for each bid that will provide adequate information to the Project Management team during transition from Pre-Construction to Construction.
- Review for accuracy and completeness the final Schedule of Values that is included in the bid, proposal and/or contract.
- Seek opportunities to bid projects through establishing relationship with key personnel in the Construction Industry.
- Builds relationships with subcontractor estimating departments and suppliers to ensure Marmer received the best pricing possible and the timeliest manner.
- Solicits and follows up with targeted subcontractors on all Invitations to Bid (ITB) sent in accordance with office protocols.
- Qualifies all bids received to ensure bids are complete, accurate and include all required documentation.
- Seeks out new subcontractors and suppliers in current markets and new markets to continuously build the Subcontractor Database for future jobs.
- Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience in Multi-family and Commercial estimating.
- Detail oriented mindset
- Outstanding communicator: able to communicate information into simple, actionable tasks with construction and non-construction team members equally.
- Positive, open-minded, and able to learn and work in a fast-paced, extremely high-growth company.
- Committed to a superior customer experience.
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong personal integrity and has the highest ethical standards.
