    Founder and President of Marmer Construction

    A fourth generation real estate investor/developer/builder, Marty began his career after graduating from the University of Florida. Within five years, Marty brokered, developed, built or invested in over $100 million in real estate transactions, including two single-family affordable housing developments and an industrial park. Throughout his career, Marty has been involved in site selection, due diligence work, securing development entitlements and working with engineers and architects for permitting and design of projects.

    His diverse portfolio of construction projects spans central Florida and he has provided construction project management on projects in excess of $19.5 million in the past five years alone.

    Marty is responsible for all of the strategic planning and daily operational decisions for Marmer Construction’s diversified portfolio in its commercial, industrial and residential markets. Marty is accountable for implementing all of Marmer’s contractual obligations and corporate policies, and he oversees cost and quality control, scheduling, safety and the deployment of Marmer’s resources. Marty manages Marmer’s client relations and seeks continuous progression of the company as a whole.

    Merideth earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Master’s of Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation from Florida State University. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2003 and a Florida Notary since 2011.

    Following graduation, Merideth worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, providing auditing services to both private and public companies. She also performed analysis of trends, forecasts and balances for reasonableness.

    Merideth continued to expand her knowledge and gain experience with governmental entities and not-for-profits as an Audit Supervisor with The NCT Group CPAs, LLP, planning, performing and completing year-end audits, reviews and compilations for the company’s clients.

    As the Business Administrator for the Highland County Sheriff’s Office Merideth coordinated, managed and supervised the finance, purchasing, grant and contracts for the agency. She reviewed and analyzed expenditures, cash flows and all other financial data, and was responsible for all IRS correspondence and reporting.

    As the Chief Financial Officer for Marmer Construction, Merideth has the oversight and responsibility for the financial functions of the company. She is responsible for all administrative tasks as well, including job cost analysis, monthly financial statements, progress billing and risk management.

    In 2016, Merideth became a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional through the Institute of Construction Industry Financial Professionals.

    Executive Project Manager for Marmer Construction

    Brian is a University of Florida graduate with almost 15 years of experience in the construction industry as a project manager, superintendent and estimator for commercial, industrial and residential projects. His portfolio includes renovations as well as new construction.

    Brian is well versed in contract negotiations, project estimating, document preparation, building code and regulations, material purchasing, as well as the intricacies of homeowners associations and site management.

    As the Executive Project Director, Brian is responsible for oversight of all field operations; including direct control of all superintendents, budget development and construction schedules. His duties include design and blueprint review and analysis of projects, preparation of construction documents, bidding, negotiations, subcontractor selection, material purchasing, building code compliance, project development, and quality control.
